250 Bedded TB Hospital, situated in Shyamoli, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Dhaka. This is a tertiary level center for management of tuberculosis as well as all other chest diseases. Providing highest possible management of TB and all other chest diseases. Providing support of training program of lab technicians and medical college students all over the Bangladesh . Conducting research works related to TB and other chest diseases. Arranging awareness program about Tb and chest Disease. It was established in 1963 as tuberculosis Control Project, Shyamoli. After liberation it was renamed National TB Control project, Shyamoli. Since then treatment of tuberculosis, related investigations were going on as outdoor services. In 2015, after construction of new four stored building, this hospital renamed as 250 Bedded TB Hospital, Shyamoli, Dhaka and from January 2017. Honorable Minister for Health & Family Welfare Md. Nasim MP inaugurated this newly built 250 Bed TB Hospital with facilities of 150 Bed indoor services (free bed, paying bed, cabin), 24 hours emergency services, Operation theater with thoracic surgery, Gene X-pert test LPA, liquid culture, spirometry and Fiber Optic Bronchoscope and pleuroscop for pleural biopsy. Negative pressure ICU, HDU & MDR, male and female word, negative pressure biosafety level-3 laboratory has been started for modern management of tuberculosis and chest disease. We hope in near future this institute will give better service to the people.
Recently this hospital provide one stop medical center for Tuberculosis Negative Pressure MDR Male and female ward. One stop medical center offers a wide variety of services under one roof. One stop service welcome walk in patients six days a week. Please bring your valid health card for your visit. BDT 10.00 for OPD and emergency e-ticket. OPD start at 8.30 am and close 2.30 pm everyday except Friday.
